Meet Marietta, owner of Marietta's Quilt and Sew
Hello fellow Quilters, Sewers and Embroiderers! My name is Marietta. Owning my own quilting and sewing store has been a dream of mine for a long time and now it’s come true!
Good things come to those who wait. My love and passion for sewing started when I was a little girl watching my mother sew.
For many years, I worked for others, helping them to become successful. I realized that I could take my passion coupled with my years of experience and make things happen for me.
Growing up in Missouri and after graduating from trade school, I got married and relocated to Charleston, SC. After 5 years of marriage, I had two beautiful twins. A girl, Christy and a boy, Scott. Eleven years later, I gave birth to my third child, Pamela.
After eight years we relocated to Greenwood, SC. There I found work at Piece Goods as the store manager. Within 5 years, I was promoted to District Manager and assumed responsibility for over 5 stores.

After 7 years of working at Piece Goods, I then moved on to 96 Manufacturing Company, where I served as District Manager for 5 years and supervised a total of eight stores.
I moved to Greenville, SC after a divorce and returned to work at Piece Goods until they closed two years later.
After that, I started work at an independent local vacuum and sewing dealer. That’s where the bug of starting my own shop took hold.
I am now a very happy entrepreneur and glad that I am able to employ a staff of eight. We have been in business for over one year with the help and support from our wonderful customers.
Our shop offers embroidery, quilting supplies, machine sales & repairs, and classes. We carry high quality, top of the line, 100% cotton quilting fabrics and batiks for all your quilting needs.
With the support of my loving husband John, my 3 grown children and my two wonderful grandchildren (whom I love to sew for), I have faith and believe that God will continue to bless me with success.
